Devotional: When The World Seems Wrong

It is easy to focus on what is wrong with the world. However, when we stop and look up, there is hope. by Kyleann Hawkins

In times of political unrest, social upheaval and financial strain, it is easy to focus on what is wrong with the world. However, when we stop and look up, there is hope.

“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

– Matthew 6:26-27 (NLT)

I love how logical that question is. The answer, of course, is no. But don’t you think it is wonderful that He cares enough to reassure us and indicate where we should focus—on heavenly things?

ASK

How does this apply to your life today?

PRAY

Jesus, thank You for valuing and loving me as You do. Help me learn and grow from the writing, resources, and friends You’ve placed in my life. Thank You that when all my hard work does not stand against the challenges of this life, I need not worry because You will provide. In Jesus name, Amen.
